APPLICATION:
INSTRUMENT: Nikon Diaphot 300 with Narishige Micro-Manipulators
END USER: Herzan TS-150 Desktop Active Vibration Control System
DETAILS: The end user needed an isolation system to reduce the environmental vibrations affecting their intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) process. They chose the TS system based on the recommendation of a colleague. The TS immediately eliminated the troublesome vibrations.
Months later, construction was being done on the building where the laboratory was housed. The construction required a jackhammer to be used on the ground floor outside of the lab. While the jackhammer was running, the end user was able to take video of the tip of the microinjector to characterize the vibrations it was experiencing. The resulting video is a dramatic display of the TS system's ability to eliminate even the most troublesome vibrations.
RESULTS - COMPARISON VIDEOS: The following video compares vibration levels without vibration isolation, with passive vibration isolation (utilizing the TS-150 without active isolation enabled), and active vibration Isolation (utilizing the TS-150 system).
CUSTOMER FEEDBACK: "The engineer from Research Instruments came to us to fit a new bit of equipment, before the TS-150 got here. He commented that ours was the worst vibration he had ever seen on such a set-up and he had seen hundreds all over the world. Now, ALL vibration has gone." -Bert Stewart, Fertility Associates
